About the Integral Leadership Profile (ILP)

This ILP is based on the Integral framework and provides leaders with a comprehensive picture of how their skills and behaviours are perceived by others. The profile has been used by over 5,000 Australian executives, managers and supervisors over the past 15 years. Initially developed and researched by Dr Ron Cacioppe, the profile is a skill and behavioural based feedback process designed to help leaders and managers with their professional and personal development.

What is 360-degree feedback?

The 360-degree feedback is an opportunity for you and your colleagues to provide each other feedback. You will both evaluate yourself and receive feedback from your peers, managers and direct reports. We call them "raters".

The feedback is used for development purposes, summarised in a report which you and a dedicated coach discuss to create an individualised development plan from.

The value of 360-degree feedback

  • Gathers feedback from yourself as well as your peers, managers and direct reports.

  • Helps you understand how your behaviours impact others.

  • Helps you understand your strengths and areas of development.

  • Provides a benchmark for assessing improvement.

The profiles include measures of:

  • Four (4) Major Functions of Leadership and Management: people leadership, performance management, strategic management and visionary/transformational leadership

  • Eight (8) Roles of Leadership and Management Processes: ie. coaching, directing, visioning, monitoring, etc.

  • Authentic Self Questions: which deal with integrity, living up to commitments, dealing with stress, maintaining work-life balance, etc.

  • Optional Customised Organisational Questions: Additional questions can be customised to the your specific strategic requirements, either using our bank or your own questions.

  • Outcome & Impact Questions: to measure impact the participant's behaviour has on organisational and team outcomes.

  • Open Ended Comments: A section for both the participant and raters to provide open comments focussed on what areas the participants need to improve on and what strengths they have.

  • Development Workbook: The participant and coach work together to identify strengths, areas for improvement and action steps to create and implement a personal development plan.

  • Comparison Norms: The average score of a larger group with which to compare individual ratings on all standard questions. The ILP has cohort, organisation and global norms.

Online 360º feedback process

Our 360° feedback process provides insight in participant and group strengths and areas for improvement. Individuals, managers and teams can easily identify development opportunities and understand how improvements will benefit themselves and the organisation.

Feedback Process

The feedback process takes 2-3 weeks to complete and includes the following activities:

  1. The participant will receive an email invitation asking them to complete their self-assessment. This will take 15-20 minutes, completed online with 25 questions.

  2. The survey will also ask the participant to nominate their raters. We recommend 8 to 15 raters. This is ideal as it provides a wider range of feedback and a more accurate representation of the individuals behaviours.

  3. Raters should include the participant's line manager, peers and direct reports.

  4. The survey stays open for completion for 2 weeks and sends regular reminders to raters to complete.

  5. Once complete, the participant will receive an email one day prior to their first coaching session, with a link to access their 360º profile results online.

Post-Program 360º Feedback

To get the most from value from your program and the initial 360° feedback we run a post-program feedback process to evaluate participant development as measured by their peers. Results from this form part of the post-program group report where we highlight average group change and average group compare scores on all individual skills.
