  • You will receive an email from Integral with a direct link to your personal questionnaire.

  • Please answer it within 2 days of receipt, to give your raters sufficient response time.

2. Answering your questionnaire

  • Takes about 20-25 minutes.

  • If you close before completing it, you will be able to continue where you left off, provided you click on 'Pause Survey' or 'Next Page' before leaving the survey (otherwise your answers will be lost and you will need to start again).

  • Give an honest estimate – avoid guessing how others will answer.

  • Rating scale is 1 to 10, where 10 is highest (you will see the scale at the bottom of your screen).

3. Selecting your raters

  • Select between 6 and 15 raters (preferably 10 or more) – see Tips on Inviting Your Raters below.

  • Please keep a list of the raters – so that you can thank them later.

Tips on Inviting Your Raters

  • Select 6 to 15 people who will be objective, honest and have seen you in your leadership role. Be sure to select a mixture of your manager/s, peers and direct reports.

  • Inform them personally before they receive the invitation, either face to face or via email. As well as a being a courtesy, this will avoid some people assuming that they have received an unsolicited email and treating it as spam. You can use our email template.

  • Remind them about Reminders: Be sure to also advise them that the automated online system will send them reminders every 2 days in the working week until they have completed the questionnaire or selected the option to not respond.

  • Low Completions: If you find less than 80% of raters have completed the survey please email all your raters and ask them to finish the survey by the completion date if they have not done so already.

  • Wrong Email Addresses: If you enter an incorrect email address, you will receive an email informing you of this and asking you to correct the email address if it is incorrect.

What to Tell Raters

Key things you should inform your raters are:

  • The feedback process is part of a coaching program to help you (the participant) develop your leadership and management skills, it's not a performance review.

  • Raters will need to identify areas in which I do well and areas that I could develop.

  • The online survey will take about 15–20 minutes to complete.

  • You (the participant) will receive a combined summary of all those who rate you, so individual ratings will be anonymous.

  • You (the participant) do get to read the open comments exactly as they are typed in, so it may be possible to identify who made an individual comment.

  • After you (the participant) receive the report, you will work with a coach to review the results and put together an action plan to work on areas to be improved.

  • Rater should give open and honest feedback as this is a constructive opportunity to improve my leadership skills.
