Inappropriate Workplace Behaviour

Maintaining appropriate behaviour and conduct in the workplace is an increasingly significant issue and one that provides managers and leaders alike with an ongoing challenge. Whether the issue concerns bullying, harassment (including sexual harassment) or discrimination each issue requires informed management and an ability to effectively address the matters presented.

There can however be no doubt that inappropriate workplace behaviour comes at a high cost both for the organisation and the affected individuals concerned. Moreover there is a significant issue for the provision of good corporate goverance. It is important that employers take active steps to prevent and address inappropriate workplace behaviour promptly and effectively.

Integral Developments Inappropriate Workplace Behaviour Workshop provides an engaging and highly interactive learning environment that addresses these important issues fully. This one day workshop will address the challenges facing managers and those in leadership positions, providing them with a full understanding of what constitutes inappropriate behaviour including:

  • Issues of powerlessness and responsibility
  • Recognising bullying, harassment and discrimination
  • Managers responsibility pursuant to the law
  • What kind of workplace do we want – achieving a culture of respect
  • Understanding the managers right to manage
  • The manager as a moral exemplar
  • Next steps in your workplace

The program is designed to allow inclusion of your corporate values, your organisation’s Code of Conduct and/or other relevant policies and internal grievance processes.  In addition to a high level of interaction the day will provide participants with the opportunity to engage in a number of experiential learning, practical activities and actual case studies.

This program will be delivered by John Mitchell, Director of Strategy and Consulting.  John has extensive experience in senior positions in both the public and private sector.  Currently John splits his time between a range executive training and consulting roles and teaches at the University of Notre Dame Business School.  He has extensive experience of delivering programs with a focus on workplace and ethical behaviour with great success and highly positive feedback.
