About Brad McManus
Brad is a senior consultant and Director of Organisational Capability at Integral Development. He has 18 years experience in leading organisations, developing corporate strategy, managing joint ventures, building organisational capability and corporate branding. He is also an experienced executive coach. In 2004 he was recognised as a 40under40 entrepreneur and in 2011 he received an ADC Future Summit Australian Leadership Award.
Qualifications
Brad’s qualifications include a Master of International Business, a Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma of Business in Management. He graduated in the top 1% of each course and was the recipient of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Western Australia Prize. In addition, he is an internationally certified Spiral Dynamics consultant, an accredited Integral Coach and a qualified professional trainer. Brad has undertaken substantial ongoing professional development relevant to the directorships and senior executive roles he has held. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Company Director Course Diploma with Order of Merit. He is a founding member and Vice Chairman of the Integral Leadership Institute. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute in the UK and a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
Leadership, Consulting and Coaching Experience
Brad has significant executive and international experience. In 2008, he founded a Bangkok based company consulting in area of business sustainability. Prior to this he performed senior executive roles in the property development and construction sector. In 2007 he delivered a major change project for a leading Australian construction firm. He led a newly acquired $60m company, reset corporate strategy and developed business systems to support growth. Brad redesigned and rebranded the company’s product range (residential houses and living units) to make them more desirable to the market, profitable and environmentally responsible.
In 2006, he performed a consultancy for a $400m, diversified private property development group with operations across Australia. The group specialized in retail shopping malls, high and low rise condos, financial services and funds management. Brad revised the 10 year corporate plan, built organisational capability and consulted internally to improve the performance of business units within the group in preparation for IPO.
Prior to this Brad spent two years as Chief Operating Officer of the Integral Leadership Centre, a company specialising in leadership development, management consulting and executive education. Brad was a director of the company and a senior management consultant to organisations in the resources, mining, oil and gas, agribusiness, infrastructure, agribusiness, health, utilities and government sectors. He coached numerous senior executives and directly assisted several companies in identifying and developing projects that led to profitable growth, leadership succession, systems improvement and new business opportunities.
In 2005 Brad undertook a research tour to several of the world’s foremost leadership development and executive education institutions including the Graduate Schools of Berkeley, Stanford, Harvard and Wharton, the Centre for Creative Leadership, Jepson School of Leadership, London Business School and INSEAD, France. Brad analysed the business models of these institutions and opened negotiations on international partnerships and joint ventures. He also identified key trends and future directions for leadership development, coaching and executive education on an international scale.
Previously, Brad spent 2 years as Managing Director of a large membership organisation with operations in hospitality, retail and events. He restructured the organisation and introduced strategic planning. Brad developed business systems, implemented enterprise wide risk management and initiated a culture change program with Board support. He also refreshed the organisation’s public image, grew membership and implemented award winning safety and health practices for employees.
Prior to this, he spent 6 years as a General Manager for national firm specialising in venue management, franchised health clubs and events. Brad managed several major stadia including the first in Western Australia to achieve ISO 9001 accreditation. He achieved state wide business performance and customer service improvements, and negotiated several business alliances. He also increased health club membership three fold over a period of two years. In 1996 Brad developed the Best Specialist Recreation Program in Australia and provided nationally accredited customer service training to front line staff in five major venues.
